Background: Nutrition Therapy for Eating Disorders discusses the role of the registered dietitian and nutrition therapy addressing clinical assessment, refeeding issues and medical/ethical concerns within all levels of care. The registered dietitian's integration of therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT and ACT will be highlighted.
Objectives: 1. Participants will be able to delineate the key roles of the registered dietitian who specializes in the treatment of the eating disorder population. 2. Participants will understand and list the nutrition therapy goals, comprehensive nutrition assessment, refeeding issues and specific medical concerns created by eating disorder behaviors within the levels of care for each eating disorder diagnosis 3.
