Brain Science Meets the Body Join Adrienne Ressler and M.J. Ryan in an intensive that delves into what neuroscience has to say about supporting lasting change in our patients. In this highly interactive workshop, we will take the teachings from brain science and offer a variety of practical tools and body-based techniques for implementing these new understandings into your work. 1) You will learn how to physically ground and center; 2) Teach it to your patients, so that they have a greater space between impulse and action, which allows for more positive choices.

Adrienne Ressler is the National Training Director for The Renfrew Center Foundation and current president of the iaedp Board of Directors. Adrienne attended the University of Michigan and served on the faculty in the School of Education. Her work is published in The International Journal of Fertility and Women’s Medicine, Social Work Today, and Pulse (International Spa Association.) She contributed the chapter “Reframing Body Image Identity” in Healing Through Relationship and BodyMind Treatment: Connecting to Imprinted Emotions and Experiences in Effective Clinical Practice: The Heart of the Matter.” She is the Body-Image Curriculum Designer for the Peeke Week Wellness Retreats.
