The iaedpTM-approved supervisor is responsible for providing guidance as mentor to our future eating disorder specialists ensuring the varied experiences, practice hours and skill level meets the iaedp standard of excellence. Whether you are an approved supervisor or want to become one, this workshop will inspire, and safeguard continued clinical advancement for those struggling with eating disorders.
Objectives: Following this presentation, participants will be able to: 1) demonstrate understanding of various supervision techniques to enhance learner processing and decision making. 2). utilize resources available to successfully guide the supervisee through necessary learning objectives as they relate to core coursework, required reading, and utilization of evidence-based and best practices as well as ethics related to the supervisory experience. 3). identify common hurdles experienced by iaedp-approved supervisors in various scenarios of supervisee work settings
Dr. Kari Anderson, LPC, CEDS-S has been treating eating disorders for 28 years as clinician, trainer, researcher, author and leader. She is currently Executive Director at KellerLife Centers for Eating Disorders in Arizona. She earned her Doctorate of Behavioral Health in 2012 from Arizona State University and is faculty for Plymouth State University’s Eating Disorder Institute. She serves on the iaedp Certification Committee.

Amanda Mellowspring, MS, RD/N, CEDRD-S
Amanda Mellowspring is a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian and iaedp-approved supervisor. She has worked as a leader in nutrition services in a variety of treatment settings including RTC, PHP, IOP, college health, and private practice. Amanda served as an author for the development and publication of Standards of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance for dietitians working with eating disorders and served on the certification committee for iaedp. Amanda is a nationally recognized speaker regarding nutrition in the treatment of eating disorders. Amanda owns Eat from the Earth Nutrition Counseling, LLC in Blacksburg, VA and serves as the Director of Nutrition Services for Clementine Programs, a Monte Nido affiliate for adolescent girls.

Delia Aldridge, MD, CEDS-S
Dr. Delia Aldridge is a Board Certified Psychiatrist, iaedpTM-Approved Supervisor and Medical Director of the AMITA Health, Alexian Brothers Center for Eating Disorders in Illinois. As an expert in refeeding, she has established a premier refeeding service for pediatric and adult patients with complex psychiatric co-occuring conditions including self injury, PTSD, mood disorders and substance use disorders. She serves on the iaedpTM Certification Committee and is the Certification Chair for Heartland iaedpTM. Dr. Aldridge is Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Rosalind Franklin University/ The Chicago Medical School.
