At this presentation, participants will learn how to maximize insurance coverage for eating disorder patients. This presentation will explain the fine print of Mental Health Parity Laws (background on the law, treatment limitations, financial requirements, and the Final Rules), and guide clinicians in addressing parity violations/insurance denials. In addition, this presentation will address common quetsions about the ACA, clarify the relationship between MHPAEA and the ACA, and explain how to address implementation and compliance issues. Partipcants will gain a better understanding on how to best advocate for their patients under the most recent legal updates.
